Because of the noise, I barely could hear about
7 sketches, and missed the family part, so these are totally random. However, to interpret the similarities of the sketches later, the objects were all under the Admiraliteitsbrug.

I personally love the idea, but the weather really didn't help out today. So I would love to try this again some time when it's better weather. But today was not the day.

I walked to Zuiderpark in Rotterdam during a grey rainy day. I could not do any sketches because of the rain so i took photos instead. My theme was metal objects in spaces where i thought they did not belong.
The walk was nice but overshadowed by bad weather and harsh winds. despite this it was working well to clear my head and get back to the class with a fresh mind.

REFLECTION:
I liked the main purpose of this walk but since I found so much trash along the
way, I couldn't really fully focus on the podcast because it really irritated the shit
out of me. Some cans were literally thrown next to a trashcan and I found a lot
of cans in the park as well. If the weather was slightly better, this would have been
a great assignment because the podcast was a fun idea. I think we all needed a
push to have a mindfulness walk during the pandemic.

'ROTTERDAM AT NIGHT'
My experience has gone very well.
I really enjoyed doing it.
I consciously chose to take a
picture of the sky in the evening.
I wanted to see what effect it would give
and also how the environment would
change around it instead of in daylight.
So I came across many
interesting objects / details.
I have sketched a few of them.
In the sketch you can see the silhouette of the branches, the shape of the clouds.
You can also see water and the reflection of the light reflected on the water.
I thought this was very beautiful to see.
You also saw 'human' life, the lights that were on in the buildings, which shows life on earth. I also really noticed the architecture of the Erasmus bridge and the light that shone beautifully on it.

Collection - I decided to just sit down somewhere and not move while drawing, only draw what exactly was in front of me (I sat on the bench on the left)
Reflection -
I think this assignment was fine, but to me it in fact felt like an assignment rather than a relaxation walk. For it to be relaxing for me I would have preferred to just be with my own thoughts and music. Most of my art collections got caught in the rain so my ink spilled a lot which only stressed me out. I didnt enjoy listening to the music given and if anything I felt anxious that I couldnt listen to the man speaking in the audio since I didnt have earphones so I just had to walk with the phone next to my ear.
Reflection:
Sometimes when I take a walk I don't really look at my surroundings, I' m talking to someone or listening to music. This time I payed attention to the details around me and captured it. I saw things in my neighbourhood I didn't know existed.
